In conducting user research for Tutor Connect, a blend of surveys, interviews, observations, and competitive analysis was employed to glean insights into the needs of tutors like Thanvitha and parents such as Sriram seeking tutoring services. Initially, assumptions centered on the primary importance of scheduling efficiency and technological integration for both user groups. However, post-research, while confirming the significance of these aspects, findings highlighted a deeper emphasis on trust and quality assurance among parents and a keen interest among tutors in platforms supporting client growth and payment reliability. These revelations reshaped the project's direction, emphasizing the need for Tutor Connect to not only prioritize functionality but also foster trust and credibility, ultimately enriching the user experience for both tutors and parents.
